PINOY MUSIC

It's not uncommon to hear some Pinoy today asking " kumakanta ka pa ba ng mga foreign songs"?
It's as if the songs you hear over the radio or television have become so taboo you would be condemned to Gehenna should you so much as allow to be entertained by any.
Popular music, as the name implies includes practically and acceptance. The term
"wide" could be taken to distinguish it from the more electric or classical or jazz. Nowadays, it is deemed to include those of the song form predominantly those with the lyrics or words that have attained to a certain degree of commercial success or acceptance.

MUSIC AS COMMUNICATION

The fact is all music can be described as form of communication.
music arose in the earliest hominids as the vocal expression of feelings, especially negative ones like sadness, agony, anger, hatred, disgust and fear. Also surprise. A positive feelings like joy, happiness and contentment. Music evolved with thinking. In fact music gave rise to languages.
One major instrument of this is music. This exploited to the hilt, from celebrating success in hunting or other eventually for providing entertainment after a hard days work at the field.

THE POWER OF SONGS

This characteristic of popular music continues to this day as song writers adapt themes from virtually all aspect of human life, from the profane to the sublime. The reason is precise by dense to the power music has on people, and this is the most specially true where the messages are more clearly understood as in case of the song form. And as a song's popularity increases, its power is multiplied. Song writers through the generations have continued to use this very potent tool to deliver whatever messages were needed for the times.
At any rate, we still have the inherent right to choice with the gift of discernment can choose what to listen and what to sing. So let the love sings can be sung and let those freedom ring.

FILIPINO MUSIC

Musikang Pinoy
This statement was based on the oriented youth show Y SPEAK that I watch last June hosted by Bianca Araneta and Atom Arualio.
Pinoy man ito o banyaga. Hindi man gayang gaya pinipilit nilang maging sila.
YouTube users, for example, no longer only download and listen to music but also actively create their own.

Isa na rito ang RAP(Rap is a fast singing rhyming kind of music. It is the latest kind of music.). Halimbawa ang Juan dela Cruz Band, The Dawn, at iba pa. There are other types of music like Classical, Tribal, Hip Hop, Blues, Jazz, Alternative, Dance and Folk.

GENRES

A large number of other genres are growing in popularity in the music scene, including a number of alternative groups, and tribal bands promoting cultural awareness of the Philippines. Also, there is a thriving, and active heavy metal, and hardcore scenes all across the Philippines. Although still mainly in the underground, the emergence of various online organizations, productions, and record labels has been slowly bringing them into popularity as various bands now have their albums on the store shelves of major record bars, and outlets.

DIFFERENT MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS USE

They have always been a source of wonder to both the player and the listener. They figure in our music either singly, small groups or bands.

GUITAR: It is a flat-bodied instrument with a long fleeted neck and usually six strings played with a pick or with the fingers.

BASS GUITAR: a stringed instrument played primarily with the fingers or thumb or by using a plectrum.

DRUM SET: a collection of drums, cymbals and sometimes other percussion instruments arranged for convenient playing by a single person (drummer).

PIANO/KEYBOARD: any musical instrument played using a musical keyboard. The most common of these is the piano.
